Born in 1960, he received his degree in Electrical engineering from University of Pisa in 1985. For some years he has worked in an Italian private research centre.
Since 1992 he has been working at University of Pisa in Electric Power Systems first as a researcher, then as an associate professor. Now he is full Professor in Electric Power Systems
Research Interests
Active and reactive compensation of power Systems, AC and DC Long-distance transmission systems, Computer Simulations in power systems, Storage batteries, On-board electric systems
